The new Facebook chat is bullshit (explanation below).

Fan profile? Not really.
Becoming a fan of random things has become one of the most common acts done on Facebook. Initially intended to promote artists, bands, objects, products, and the like, this feature has been overused by Facebook users. It has been used to make fan profiles of things that aren’t really meant to be, uhm, fanned. One example of these profiles is “When I was a kid, I used to get my mums phone to play snake”. Sure, I have nothing against them. In fact, I am a fan of becoming a fan of random things! 
However, some people won’t stop there. Some people have turned these fan profiles into a social network WITHIN a social network. This can be good, and this can also be bad. The one I’m discussing now? TOTALLY BAD.
